Brightly painted beach huts at Dawlish in Devon #242124214
Description
A beach hut also known as a beach cabin, beach box or bathing box, is a small usually wooden and often highly coloured box above the high tide mark. They are used as a shelter from the sun, wind, and for changing in and out of one`s costume, storing of personal belongings. The ones we have today evolved from the wheeled bathing machines used by the Victorians, given royal approval previously by George III.
