Description
Psykter, otherwise Baucalides - an ancient Greek ceramic vessel, shaped like a mushroom, became widespread in Attica in the second half of the 6th century. BC e. The psykter was used in conjunction with the goblet crater. One of these vessels was intended for storing snow or ice water, undiluted wine was poured into the other. State Hermitage Museum.
