Saint Sigismund was a historical figure who can be boldly compared to King Arthur, because he survived in many poems and legends, as well as an opera. The reliquary made of silver with the crown of the Piast dynasty is one of the few surviving examples of Romanesque art in the world.The reliquary, commissioned by Frederick Barbarossa himself, was createn in Aachen but today is possible to see it in Poland in historic capital of the country -Plock. Honored by the royal houses of the Jagiellonians and Luxemburg, he is the patron of the sick of hernia.He`s a patron of Czech, Luxemburg and Poland. King of Burgundy, was the son-in-law of Theodoric the Great himself and the son of Gundobar. Brother-in-law of the legendary Brunhilda.
