Periparus Ater Stock Photography

A small species of tit with a large black head, white cheeks and a large white patch on the back of the head, which distinguishes it from all other European tit. The back is blue-grey ssp. ater to olive-grey, the underparts are dark grey-beige without a dark central stripe. It has two bright bands on the wing: one on the tips of the large trusses, the other along the middle trusses.
