I have been able to create a very beautiful carving using scissors using paper sheets.During the Vesak festival lanterns are made and Vesak lanterns are decorated with uncut leaves.Carvings are definitely used in creating very large Vesak lanterns.Most of the time for carvings I try to get a flower pattern.Vesak lanterns are made in large numbers during the month of May in Sri Lanka. Beautiful paper cutting can be seen at that time.
