The California towhee, Melozone crissalis is a non migratory bird found from the southern part of costal Oregon and through costal California, down to Baja California Mexico.During non breeding season they mainly eat seeds and grasses, so are mostly found on the ground or low bushes. It`s while mating they add insects and small snails to their diet.As seen in the San Francisco Botanical Garden of Golden Gate Park 21 March 2022.
