Pictured is Artemisia absinthium in an ancient pot in an outside courtyard of the Kasbah Tamadot, Sir Richard Branson`s Moroccan Retreat. Absinthium is grown as an ornamental plant and is used as an ingredient in the spirit absinthe and some other alcoholic beverages. Kasbah Tramdot was the former home of Luciano Tempo, renowned antiques dealer and interior designer. Sir Richard Branson bought it in 1998 and converted it to a world class resort which opened in 2005. Kasbah Tamadot has been named Best Resort Hotel, North Africa and the Middle East in the Travel and Leisure Worldââ¬â¢s Best Awards in 2017, 2019, 2020 and 2021!
