Pictured is the Chamber of the Twelve Columns in the western building of the Saadian Tombs in Marrakesh, Morocco. This is the grand mausoleum chamber of Ahmad al-Mansur and the most richly decorated chamber in the entire necropolis. At the very center of the room is the tombstone of Ahmad al-Mansur. To his immediate right from the perspective of present-day visitors seeing the room is the tombstone of his son, Sultan Moulay Zidan died 1627, and to his immediate left is the tombstone of Sultan Muhammad al-Sheikh al-Saghir died 1654ââ¬â55.
