Angguk Dancing #248884622
Description
Jathilan brought by the Ponorogo Waroks in Kulonprogo developed into an art of satire to the natives who became Dutch soldiers, because the dancers danced by some teenage boy gemblak wore Dutch army-style clothes modified with jathilan clothes. The graceful dance movements and head nodding moving the head down many times have made this dance since then called the Angguk dance. The graceful movement with a sampur scarf and a nod of the head meant that the Dutch native soldiers or Londho Ireng actually could not do anything and wanted to be told like women by the Dutch who were not the original leaders of Java at that time.
