The Jade plant, Crassula ovata, native to parts of Mozambique and South Africa, has found its way around the world as an ornamental plant, both indoors and out, especially where it is very warm and dry. Although this plant does do well with very little care, care should be taken as it is toxic to not only humans, but cats and dogs, and well as horses.
