Description
Pictured is red granite statue of the priest Hetepdief inside Museum of Egyptian Antiquities in Cairo, Egypt. Hetepdief was a funerary priest under the reign of the first three kings of the Second Dynasty, Hetepsekhemuy, Raneb, and Nynetjer. The museum was built in 1901 to a design by French architect Marcel Dourgnon. In 2022, the museum is due to be superseded by the newer and larger Grand Egyptian Museum at Giza.
