Description
Paleisbrug revisited. De Paleisbrug is a hiking bridge with a citypark in `s-Hertogenbosch. It connects the neighbourhood Paleiskwartier with Het Zand and the inner city. The bridge is besides the High Line in Manhattan, New York, the second parkbridge in the world.From the bridge you see a skyscraper by the name of Jheronimus, and the undulating roof of an old warehouse, the shed-roof-complex of Interpharm. In the middel a ornament of the bridge executed in Corten Steel. In the back a new modern flat has been built, just beside the bridge. The bridge is designed by Benthem Crouwel Architekten. The gardens and trees are made by a design of Piet Oudolf, also involved with the design of the High Line.
