Northern Flicker Up At The Suet Feeder Getting Some Food In The Snow Stock Image

The northern flicker has to be one of my favorite woodpeckers in Pennsylvania. They are some of the biggest we have and the most colorful. I love the speckles in this one's plumage and the little red patch on the back of his head. This bird is sitting here in an almost perfect pose waiting for me to take a picture of him so he can go back to eating the suet from the cage. This picture was taken on my deck in the East Coventry township outside of Pottstown in Pennsylvania.
