Female Cardinal Huddled Under Shelter Watching The Snow Come Down Stock Photo

Male cardinals, to some, seem to steal the show. They are really bright red and very colorful. I also really appreciate the colors of a female cardinal. They are not as bright so they can help to hide the nest. This is a picture of a female cardinal huddled under the seed cake holder, almost like she is seeking shelter from the falling snow. I love hoe her beak really shows a brighter red, almost orange. I also love the more subtle colors to her feathers. She is sitting on the bird seed here as snow seems to pile up on her roof. This picture was taken at my house in the East Coventry township, outside of Pottstown in Pennsylvania.
