Water snake on a stick under relaxing under a log and trying not to be seen #250853845
Description
How many times do you go swimming in a river or walk down a path and there is actually a snake blending in with the background. Most snakes try to mind their business and just don't want to be discovered by anything that could be dangerous to them. My daughter and I were walking a woods path and this beautiful guy was just laying here. Water snakes to me almost have a pattern of a copperhead of a rattle snake but one big difference is his snout. Water snakes noses are rounded and not pointy, their pupils are round dots and not like cat's eyes. I love how camouflaged this one is and not caring of us. This picture was taken in the East Coventry nature preserve outside of Pottstown in Pennsylvania.
