Fragrant pandanus & x28;or simply called pandan& x29; is a type of monocot plant from the Pandanaceae family that has leaves with a distinctive fragrant aroma. The leaves are an important component in the culinary traditions of Indonesia and other Southeast Asian countries.This plant is easy to find in the yard or grows wild on the edges of shady ditches. The roots are large and have a taproot that supports this plant when it is large enough. The leaves are elongated like palm leaves and arranged in a dense rosette, the length can reach 60cm. Some varieties have serrated leaf edges.
