Bedug is a percussion instrument like a drum. Bedug is a traditional musical instrument that has been used for thousands of years, which has a function as a traditional communication tool, both in religious and political ritual activities. In Indonesia, a drum is usually sounded to announce the time for prayer or prayer. Also Bedug is used in traditional arts, one of which is the Reak Art. The bedug is made of a large log or palm tree about one meter or more in length. The center of the stem is perforated to form a large tube. The end of the larger stem is covered with animal skin which functions as a membrane or drum membrane. When beaten, the drum makes a deep, distinctive, low sound, but can be heard from a considerable distance.
