Cluster of buildings at the Adrere Amellal eco-lodge in the Siwa Oasis, Egypt. #251718708
Description
Pictured is a cluster of buildings at the Adrere Amellal eco-lodge in the Siwa Oasis, Egypt, around 50 kilometers east of the Libyan border. The lodge is nestled at the foot of a limestone white mountain. The buildings are made of a combination of kershef a mixture of rock salt and mud, stone masonry, and carved out dwellings from the large white mountain. Oil lamps and candles are the only source of light and the construction of the buildings eliminates the need for air conditioning.
