Title
Gorgeous little clearwing hummingbird moth swooping in to visit a purple flower #252022516
Description
This pretty little guy was coming in for a landing to gather nectar from this bee balm flower in the middle of a meadow. It is remarkable to see how graceful they are and how controlled their flying is. The pretty green fur on their body and the see-thru wings they have is a major way to identity them. Some confuse these with a hawk moth, a sphinx moth, or even a snowberry moth. This one looks really cool with his antennas sticking straight up and his little legs hanging down from his body. This picture was taken in the East Coventry township nature preserve close to Pottstown in Pennsylvania.
