Title
Snowberry clearwing hummingbird moth flying above flowers in a field #252097638
Description
This picture was taken in the not so great lighting as the sun was going down. I do think I managed to capture the detail of this little guy really well though. The snowberry clearwing is one of the rarer of the hummingbird moths, but every so often I get really lucky and spot them flying about. This guy's black and yellow coloration almost makes him look like a bumble bee. His whiskers and curling of the one in front almost reminds me of a catfish. His little small tail makes him look like a flying crayfish or lobster. This little guy was spotted soaring above the purple bee balm flowers looking to see which one he wanted to collect the nectar from and help pollinate. This picture was taken in the East Coventry township nature preserve close to Pottstown in Pennsylvania.
