Description
Otacanthus caeruleus bears lovely blue, snapdragon-like flowers with a prominent white eye virtually throughout the year. Its leaves are simple, plain green and held in opposite pairs along the soft stems. Otacanthus coeruleus Lindley family: Scrophulariaceae is a perennial herb, native to Brazil. Under natural conditions it reaches a height of 80-100 cm. The opposite elliptical leaves are covered with minute glands, having a pleasant resinous smell. The flowers are violet blue with a white spot at the throat. This photo was taken at Nanshan Park, Shenzhen, China, in 01/2022.
