Beautiful Dragonfly Sitting On The Ground To Rest For A Bit Royalty-Free Stock Image

One of the coolest insects to me has to be the dragonfly. I was walking down a path the other day and saw this little guy resting on the ground. These little insects are usually quite fast and remind me of the helicopters of nature. They dart from place to place and are capable of hovering in place. If you look closely at this little guy you will see four different wings. I love the stripes on these and the individual cells you can see. I love how dragonfly eyes are positioned so close to each other which is how you can tell them apart from damselflies. His little legs are hanging onto the ground. I love the segments in his body. This picture was taken at the East Coventry nature preserve close to Pottstown in Pennsylvania.
