Ancient sailing ships were extensively rigged #252651320
Description
Sailing ships were the main means of intercontinental travel in the ancient past. Most ships sailing from a non Mediterranean European port ended their journey in another European port. Only a few ships left Europe to go to East or to the West Indies. In the 1800s, these numbers of trans-Atlantic crossings increased.
