The Sala delle Croci or Crosses Room in the Risiera di San Sabba in Trieste, Friuli, northern Italy.The Rosoera di San Sabba or San Sabba Rice Mill is an old building used during World War II as a Nazi concentration camp for the detention and killing of political prisoners and a transit camp for Jews then deported to Auschwitz. The cremation facilities, the only ones built inside a concentration camp in Italy were destroyed before the camp was liberated. Risiera di San Sabba is located in Trieste, northern Italy and today operates as a civic museum.
