General Characteristics The white-rumped wagtail has a body length of about 10 to 11 centimeters. The adult body has a thick, conical beak, grayish in color, similar to that of an adult lead. The upper body has dark brown fur with small white stripes, the chest is lighter brown and flesh-colored scales. The rump (under the wing - above the tail) is a white band, the belly is white with inconspicuous dark stripes. Clear, black tail, pointed tail tip, middle pair of fur that extends longer than other pairs of tail feathers.
