Description

Pictured is a poorly preserved stele to the left of the entrance to the Tomb of Amenemopet on the west wall of the tomb`s courtyard. In the top portion of the stele Re-Horakhty on the left and Osiris on the right are sitting back to back on a throne, being worshipped from each side by Amenemopet. The faces of the two gods have disappeared. The register below also has many parts that have disappeared, but both sides represent a priest performing funeral rites of the Ritual of Opening the Mouth in front of the mummy. The bottom register has eight lines of text, a hymn to Ra.
