Description
Shasta Lake as seen in mid-August 2022 when the reservoir water level was at 36 percent capacity, resulting in a huge bathtub ring. The lake is still open to recreation but is at critically low levels. Water from the reservoir is used to generate electricity, irrigate crops, supply water for salmon and supply cities.
