Inerkhau and Wabet seated listening to the song of a harpist in TT359, The Tomb of Inerkhau in Deir el-Medina. #254116483
Description
Pictured are Inerkhau and his wife Wabet seated listening to the song of a harpist in scene XVIII of the bottom register on the South wall of the 2nd ChamberTT359, The Tomb of Inerkhau in Deir el-Medina. The harpist mouth is open as he sings. He is portrayed with strangely shaped hands on the strings, very skinny arms, badly dimensioned feet, a malformed skull, feminine breasts and a very pleated abdomen. These inaccuracies were usual except he is not blind as usually portrayed. Inerkhau holds the sekhem sceptre in his right hand over his heart.
