Description
Pictured is the falcon-headed Egyptian god Horus seated holding the Ankh, the key of life. It is located on the ceiling of TT219 in Deir el-medina. Nebenmaat was an ancient egyptian artisan who lived with other workmen in Dar el-Medina. They built and decorated the tombs in the nearby Valley of the Kings as well as their own tombs in Deir el-Medina. As other workmen who lived there, he was titled `Servant in the Place of Truth`. He was buried with his wife Mertseger. The paintings are in the monochrome style.
