Description
Annual small shrub, native to [Madagascar]]. Grows well from the lowlands to an altitude of 800 meters above sea level. This plant likes open places, but does not rule out the possibility that it can grow in a somewhat protected place as well. Habitus shrubs grow sideways, plant height can reach 0.2-1 meters. The leaves are oval, green in color, arranged pinnately. The leaves are about 2-6 cm long, 1-3 cm wide, and the petioles are very short. The stems and leaves contain white latex. The flowers are axial (emerging from the leaf axils). Small flower petals, spike-shaped. The flower crown is trumpet-shaped, wide at the tip, white, blue, pink or purple depending on the cultivar. The fruit is gilig (cylindrical), pointed tip, hairy, about 1.5 - 2.5 cm long, and has many seeds.
