The late 15th century hangings are composed of wool, silk, and silver wrapped thread and were a gift of John D. Rockefeller Jr. They are located in the Cloisters in Fort Tyrone Park in Washington Heights, Manhattan, New York City. Governed by the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Cloisters specializes in medieval art and architecture with a focus on Romanesque and Gothic periods.
