Water lily harvesting #255094055
Description
Collecting water lilies from marshland is a common scenario in some parts of Bangladesh. A good number of poor people live their lives doing that. Mainly, the collectors sell the water lily in local market after making a 'motha', a hand full of waterlily (4-6 pieces of flower). One motha is cost around Tk3 to Tk5 (3 cents). People buy those flowers as vegetables. In the photo, a young guy was seen collecting and sorting out the lilies in Arial Beel in Munshiganj district.
