Nest or house of Clay-breasted Hornbill (Furnarius rufus) on a power pole. Also called uiracuiar and uiracuité (of Tupi-Guarani origin, Gwirá, "bird" and Ku'ya, ) is a passerine of the family Furnariidae. It is known for its characteristic oven-shaped clay nest (a characteristic shared with many species of this family). It is the symbol bird of Argentina, where it is called Hornero and known as "Ave de la Patria", since 1928. It is a native species of Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay.
