Puffed Up Shorebird Trying To Look Threatening In The Sand Stock Photo

This larger seagull is known as an American Herring Gull, which is one of the larger types of these birds. I really love this bird's eyes as it stands here staring at me. They almost seem menacing. The bird's beak seems so long and you almost hope it would never peck you. I love the details of this bird's feathers and how they look really textured. This little guy was standing in the sand of Sunset Beach in Cape May New Jersey when I took his picture. He was just staring at me trying to make sure I was not a threat.
