Description
Ballet superstar Patrick Bissell of the American Ballet Theatre, acknowledges thunderous audience applause during a performance with the American Ballet Theatre at the Lyric Opera House in Chicago, Illinois, in June, 1978. The 6`-2` immensely strong performer, capable of breathtaking leaps, was unfortunately self-destructive, and suffered from drug addiction. On December 29, 1987, was found dead in his Hoboken, NJ, apartment at the age of 30. At his death, he was praised by his colleague, Mikhail Baryshnikov as not only one of the great dancers of the ABT, but one of the greatest in all the world.
