Interiors of Chapel of Our Lady of the Cape, Dona Paula #259158522
Description
A small yet extremely elegant church situated in RAj Bhavan Dona Paula Goa. The main altar is of wood with very rich carvings and painted in white and gold. It was probably erected in the early seventeenth century alongwith the renovations and additions which had been made by the Governor-General D. Matias de Albuquerque. The Cabo Palace is now called the Raj Bhavan; a name given to the residences of the Governors of States in India. It is one of the finest residences of Indian Governors. Above anything else, it is certainly the oldest as no other residence of a Governor of a State in India had its origin to over four hundred years in the past.
