Happy Squirrel Eating Plantain Royalty-Free Stock Image

This is a Yucatan gray squirrel, a Sciurus yucatanensis species, Sciuridae family. It is a tree squirrel found in the Yucatan Peninsula, Belize and Guatemala. They are active during the day and spend most of their time in trees. This one was eating a piece of plantain. Observed at Cerro Cahuí Protected Biotope, Petén department, Guatemala.
