Description
Béziers is a very old city: at least 2,600 years of history which begins with the installation of an exogenous population at the beginning of the sixth century BC. J.-C. on a very anciently frequented acropolis (Paleolithic industries, occupations of the Chassean period at Bosquet and Crès, occupations of the Final Neolithic Chalcolithic, occupations of the Middle and Final Bronze Age, as well as the First Age iron). The Greek city of Betara was built on the Saint-Jacques hill around 625-600 BC.
