Description
This are three young nonbreeding Leucophaeus atricilla gull species, Laridae family. Common name: the laughing gull. Common in the Caribbean and on both coasts of Central America and northern South America. Almost exclusively coastal, but this ones are in an inland lake. Laughing gulls take three years to reach adult plumage. Observed at El Remate village, lake Petén Itzá, Guatemala.
