Description
This is a Theraphosidae family tarantula, it is not easy to determine the genus or the species. Tarantulas comprise a group of large and often hairy spiders, like this one. There are about 1,040 tarantula species. Many New World species like this tarantula have setae known as urticating hairs that can cause irritation to the skin, and in extreme cases, cause damage to the eyes. Observed at Cerro CahuàProtected Biotope, Petén department, Guatemala.
