Description
Pictured is a relief on one of the three monolithic columns that comprise `Remembrances of My Home Town` by Janice Hart. The artwork is the focal point of the Heritage Village Historical Plaza. The three monolithic columns symbolize the past, present, and future. Each column is banded with sculptural reliefs. This relief features a railroad man at the station. It represents the fact that William Letchworth Hurst gave a grant across his farmland to allow the Rock Island Railroad to lay track connecting Dallas and Fort Worth on the condition that a stop be established their with his name.
