Frank Pixley and his wife Amelia were both very wealthy land owners, independently of each other. Frank was also a lawyer and eventually elected California General, with their personal mansion near by.It is known they did both own plots of land on both sides of the street, but on maps from the time period, the street is shown as being six blocks long, not just the current three blocks. However, at that time, those last three blocks were still under water.Today it is lined with residential building and small shops.As seen 16 November 2022.
