This photo is the work of a student in Surabaya. This food is churros modified with porang flour (Amorphophallus Muelleri). The results of this work motivate porang farmers to increase the yield of one of these traditional tubers. So far, these tubers are only exported to make gum base material. These rare tuber-modified churros were made when the pandemic hit. The difference between this food and what has been circulating online is its enormous contribution to boosting the sluggish economy through research with material substitution, carried out repeatedly to obtain food with commercial value and extraordinary influence in the broader community.
