biology of the leaf-eating beetle aulacophora indica #262826918
Description
The Aulacophora indica (Gmelin) beetle (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae) is a major pest of several plant species in the Curcubitaceae family, one of which is the Oyong Luffa acutangula plant. This study aims to study the biological characters of A. indica which include morphological characteristics, behavior, life cycle, and survival on Oyong Luffa acutangula as its host. The study was conducted by taking 5 pairs of A. indica imago from the field and rearing them in the laboratory until the imago laid eggs. The eggs obtained were then stored to study the biology of the A. indica beetle.
