Japantown Buchanan Street Mall San Francisco 2 #265247720
Description
San Francisco`s Japantown Buchanan Street Mall was created during the mid 1960`s redevelopment phase of the city. Across the street from the Japantown Peace Plaza, this mall was designed to look like Tokyo`s Ginza District, with the bricks running along the sidewalk to resemble a flowing river. In addition to a gate to resemble a mountain temple gate, and two fountains by famed sculptor Ruth Asawa, to resemble Origami flowers, there are also shops and restaurants, and places just to relax and meet people. As seen 14 December 2022.
