Caladium or caladium is a beautiful ornamental plant originating from Brazil. This plant belongs to the taro tribe and is in the same family as Aglaonema, namely Araceae. Ornamental taro plants rely on the beauty they have in their leaves with a combination of red, green, orange, white, silver, pink, to bursting red. The most prominent characteristic of this ornamental plant is that it has heart-shaped leaves. The size of the leaves can reach 30cm with a stem length of up to 40cm. The leaves also have a waxy coating which makes the flower slippery and does not get wet when exposed to water.
