The place where it is located belongs to the municipality of Ribadeo, bordered to the east with the Principality of Asturias and to the west with the municipality of Barreiros.It was originally baptized as the beach of Aguas Santas. However, it is known by all as the Playa de Las Catedrales due to the gigantic rocks in the form of colossal arches and towers, very similar to those seen in Christian temples.
