This photo is taken by me at Baticola beach in Sri Lanka. There is a pine corn on my hand and i focused it.A pine is any conifer tree or shrub in the genus Pinus of the family Pinaceae. Pinus is the sole genus in the subfamily Pinoideae. Pine wood is a white or pale yellow color.That fresh pine scent comes mostly from chemical compounds called terpenes. These terpenes are plentiful in conifer resin and these include alpha pinene and beta-pinene, alongside limonene and bornyl acetate which all contribute to the smell of pine, spruce or fir trees.
