Description
During the Gold Rush of California, the hoard of miners needed all kinds of new tools, as well as cloths. To meet this demand, Livingston Baker and Robert Hamilton were one of the first to supply these needs, in Sacramento California, and very close to the mines.In 1918 the company merged with the Pacific Hardware and Steel Company of San Francisco, who already occupied this building since 1905. It is one of the very few in this whole part of town to survive the 1906 Earthquake and Fire.Today it is office space for Adobe Systems.As seen 18 January 2023.
