Marina di Leuca and Punta Ristola. Santa Maria di Leuca, often spelled simply Leuca, is a frazione of the comune of Castrignano del Capo, in the Salento peninsula (Apulia), southern Italy. Santa Maria di Leuca is famous for its iconic lighthouse, the large Sanctuary, or Basilica, De Finibus Terrae and Devil's Cave (Grotta del Diavolo or Grotte di Leuca). The extreme strip of land that borders the Salento area to the south is represented by Punta Ristola, a small rocky protrusion which, in addition to offering an excellent meeting point for tourists and bathers who let themselves be enchanted by the beauty of the landscape and the panorama.
